In our busy world full of distraction, it’s hard to allow ourselves to be still. In this class we will learn the Chinese practice of I-Ch’uan or “Mind Boxing.” The static standing postures involve your whole being and facilitate the natural integration and balance of body, mind, and spirit. Relax your logical mind and rekindle your spirit through simply being.
Insight Qigong – Finley Center
Wednesdays 3/4 - 4/29

Learn the “why” along with the “how” of the Insight Qigong set.
This set purges, tonifies, and regulates all the major systems of the body and improves balance and physical stamina. It can be done sitting or standing.
Emphasis will be put on learning the three main principles of qigong: posture, coordinated breath and focused intention.
We will also practice short meditations and use various qigong warm ups. All levels are welcome.
Moving Words – I’Ching Series – St. Helena

Cultivate your creative side with mindful movement, meditation and writing.
Three coins, 64 hexagrams, over a thousand years of divination. Using a more modern, but traditionally accurate version of the I’Ching, we will learn how to find answers and inspiration for creative manifestation.
There will be time to share with each other what we’ve created, supporting us as we build trust in our creative abilities.
No experience necessary.
Golden Ball Qigong – St. Helena

Come enjoy Golden Ball Qigong practice in a lovely outdoor setting. (Weather permitting)
This Chinese health practice is truly a moving meditation that incorporates all eight actions of energy movement within the body; ascending & descending, expanding & contracting, moving in & moving out, gathering & dispersing.
You will learn and practice the principles of Qigong and how to incorporate them into the Golden Ball routine. You will have a greater understanding of what the “qi” (chee) in Qigong is and be empowered to use that qi to find balance in your life.
No experience is necessary. This routine can be done sitting or standing.

Start your day with intentional energy cultivation.
Practice the Insight Qigong set and other curated qigong movements, various warm-ups and short meditations, that will set the tone for a centered and productive day. All levels are welcome.

Wednesdays 5/13 - 6/24
6 - 7 pm
This class is for intermediate/advanced qigong students that have a good understanding of the qigong basics and want to add more advanced elements to the energetic cultivation practice.

It doesn’t take long to feel the difference between a day started with intention and one where you rush into activity.
Using the three main principles of qigong, correct posture, coordinated breath and intentional movement, we set ourselves up to bring about positive change in our lives.
