Three Dogs and a Pony – by Bob Goodman
They went everywhere together. They moved as one without any external signals. There came a time when the pony stopped and asked herself, “Why am I sniffing the ground?” It was as if she had just awoken from a dream.
The dogs all looked at her, wondering why she stopped the sniffing. But the pony’s language was different from the dogs.
The pony looked at them as if to say, “You three enjoy your sniffing, but I am different. I would rather eat apples.”
